A refractive error is a common eye disorder that leads to blurred vision which can result in visual impairment. The different types of refractive errors are 1. Myopia - Difficulty in seeing to see distant objects clearly. 2. Hyperopia - Difficulty in seeing close objects clearly. 3. Astigmatism - Distorted vision resulting from an irregularly curved cornea. 4. Presbyopia - Difficulty in reading.
Diabetic retinopathy is an eye problem that can be caused by Diabetes Mellitus. Retinopathy occurs when diabetes damages the tiny blood vessels in the retina. The weakened blood vessels may leak fluid and blood. Those with poorly controlled blood sugar levels are at a high risk of developing diabetic retinopathy.
